Cleaning Committee - RESURRECTION OF THE LORD CHURCH

To the Ministers of All ROL Ministries and Liturgy Committees,

The new liturgical year has begun and we are called to service not again…but always, as part of our duties as Catholic Christians.

We have sung (Servant Song #377) in Church many times as our desire to give thanks to the Lord for many of our blessings:

"What do you want of me, Lord? Where do you want me to serve you?..."

You are being called once more.

In the beginning of 2009, Father Paul and Ed Lee of the Cleaning Committee called upon the parish community to assist with the Church cleaning every 3rd Saturday of the month, because the family that usually took upon the duties, after many years of volunteering their time, could no longer continue their commitment.

The "project" was initiated with the assistance of the Lector's Ministry and soon grew to include other ministers of various ministries that wanted to help. 2009 was very successful, with many ministers and their families helping and sometimes more than twice!

For 2010, Father Paul and Ed Lee (Coordinator of the Cleaning Committee) are looking to all the ministries and Liturgy committees to find in your hearts to continue and help again!

We appeal to all of you for help! We will spend about 2 hours each Saturday, per month. It takes a minimum of only 6 people to complete the limited tasks. Family and friends are welcomed, as the more people helping, reduces the amount of time needed to clean.

Which means….
" 10 months schedule (excluding 2 months Confirmation candidates clean as part of their Lenten Service Project);
" TIMES, 6 people minimum needed to clean, EQUALS 60 people to clean the church for 2010!
" Our combined ministries altogether is well over 100 people!

Roeana (PH: 676-2327, email: roeanaalex@hotmail.com) will be coordinating the schedule. Please respond to our email and contact her, as we need to start planning for January 2010.

We are still looking for assistance on December 19th @ 8am.
Currently there are only 2 people signed up!
